Transport Trip to Toulouse

On Tuesday we headed up to Toulouse to experience first hand a variety of transport networks. The children really made the most of the day.

International Dot Day

K2 and K3 got together in Friday Free Flow to celebrate International Dot Day, based on the book The Dot.

8h30 Reading With Parents

We realise how busy mornings can be with children. Although not all parents are able to stay,  it is great when parents have been able to spend that first ten minutes of the morning in K3, reading with their child and changing their reading book. 

Number of the day

Each day we talk about the number of the day. Children think about the number, and then talk about it in pairs. Then we share a few of the things we know about the number. For instance, here's what we said about day 7 and day 8:

Forest school

Our first visit to the forest in our new K3 classes. A lovely afternoon! Thank you to the parents who helped us!

Cuisenaire Rods

This week the children were introduced to the mathematical resource of Cuisenaire rods. They were asked to construct whatever they desired and then to explain their work to the class.
